Getting paid with EuPago

What happens from EuPago onboarding to settlement into your approved IBAN: documents, verifications, paid messages, and net amounts.

The essentials

  • EuPago onboarding starts at To Donate.
  • EuPago validates data and documents before settlement.
  • The message only appears automatically after payment is confirmed.
  • The fee depends on the provider: 0% in the EuPago flow and 0% To Donate on tips in the Stripe flow.

Step by step

1

Submit your EuPago onboarding on To Donate

Fill in the financial onboarding form in your creator area on To Donate. This data is used to prepare the validation with EuPago and track the request status.

2

Send the documentation requested by EuPago

EuPago may request identification, tax, banking, and corporate documents to comply with KYC/KYB/AML rules and confirm who will receive the money. On To Donate, these files are collected in the onboarding form and reviewed before they proceed through the EuPago process.

3

Wait for EuPago approval and identifier

After review, the request can be sent to EuPago. When approved, a technical identifier is associated with the creator, used by To Donate to prepare payments, settlements, or split-payments when that flow becomes available for the account.

4

Confirm your settlement IBAN

Confirm that the submitted and validated IBAN matches the account holder who will receive the funds. If you change bank accounts, the change must go through the appropriate validation process again.

5

Activate payment methods in your contract

MB WAY and other future payment methods only settle correctly if they are active and approved in your EuPago contract. To Donate creates payment requests, but actual availability depends on EuPago's configuration.

6

Receive payments through To Donate

When a viewer pays, To Donate creates the request on EuPago and waits for confirmation. After confirmation, the message can be shown on the widget. The payment and reconciliation flow is separate from the bank withdrawal flow.

7

Wait for EuPago settlement

Money is not manually withdrawn within To Donate. EuPago settles the amounts to your IBAN according to the schedule, operational rules, and validations of your account/contract.

8

Check statements, fees, and net amount

Before considering an amount as final, confirm the gross received, the fee applied, any adjustments, and the net amount that entered your bank. The final reference for settlement is the information provided by EuPago in the contract, statement, or applicable operational communication.

Documents usually required

The exact documents vary depending on whether you receive as a sole trader, company, association, or other setup. As a rule, prepare these items to upload during onboarding:

  • Identification document of the holder or legal representative.
  • Tax ID of the holder, company, or entity receiving the funds.
  • IBAN proof or bank document for the settlement account.
  • Proof of address or registered office, if requested.
  • Company, association, or sole trader documents, where applicable.
  • Any additional compliance forms required by EuPago.

Gross, fee and net

Gross amount

The amount paid by the viewer for the message. Example: if a viewer pays €5.00, the gross amount is €5.00.

To Donate's total fee

In the EuPago flow, To Donate charges 0% per confirmed payment. In the Stripe flow, To Donate charges 0% on tips. Stripe fees are deducted directly from the creator's Stripe account.

Net amount

On Stripe, it is the gross amount minus Stripe fees applied to the creator's account. On EuPago, it follows the fee communicated in the active flow.

Simple formula

on Stripe: estimated net amount = gross - Stripe fees

When communicating with the creator, the rule is simple: in the EuPago flow, the fee is 0% per confirmed payment; in the Stripe flow, To Donate charges 0% on tips and Stripe deducts its own fees directly from the creator's account.

Responsibilities

To Donate does

  • Create the payment request on EuPago.
  • Receive payment confirmation to release the message on the widget.
  • Collect and review EuPago onboarding documents submitted by the creator.
  • Store only the technical identifiers necessary for reconciliation.

To Donate does not

  • Does not perform manual bank withdrawals within the platform.
  • Does not replace EuPago's contract, KYC, or settlement schedule.
  • Does not guarantee EuPago approval when documentation is incomplete or refused.
  • The fee shown to the creator must match the fee applied to the payment.

Before the first settlement

  • Confirm that your EuPago onboarding has been approved on To Donate.
  • Confirm the active provider: EuPago uses a fee of 0%; Stripe uses 0% To Donate on tips and Stripe fees on the creator's account.
  • Review the gross amount, fee, and net amount before communicating final values.
  • Confirm the settlement frequency indicated by EuPago.
  • Keep receipts, tax documents, and statements for future reconciliation.
